Today in science class we did an experiment which was called the lemon battery. What we did in this experiment was buy 2 juicy lemons and cut into both 2 lines about an inch long. In both lemons we put in a copper strip and a zink strip. After attaching lines to the opposite zink strip. As soon as they are attached the voltmeter starts to show how much volts this makes. Surprisingly when we replaced the two strips with a copper coin and a paper clip the results were better.
Not only did we do this experiment we also did a hearing test.
Hopefully tomorrow we are going to be able to try the voltmeter on other fruits/vegetables.
